Yesterday we went to give a go to the well know Restaurant at Boucan by Hotel Chocolat. Located in the South of St Lucia, it took us about 1h30 min to get there as we live all the way up north on the Island.
It is recommended to do a reservation as the restaurant is quite intimate, being part of a Boutique Hotel of only 14 Rooms & Lodges.
Front the moment you enter the Restaurant a peaceful atmosphere surrounds you, the Petit Piton is straight ahead, a stunning view you cannot miss.
We were invited to follow our host and sit on one of the tables on the closest from the Piton view, overlooking tropical garden and the hotel pool.
The Restaurant is offering an exclusive cacao cuisine, using the cocoa sometimes as a subtle spice, sometimes as a delightful infusion, but always in exquisite harmony with the other ingredients.
We decided to go ahead with:
Fresh Cacao Martini
Cacao Pod Hamburger
Fresh Cacao Bellini
Tuna & Dorado Tartare
The Boucanier Salad
In terms of prices, it is quite expensive – we paid 140 us including tips for 2 – I guess you are paying the experience first!
Though it is a budget, the whole atmosphere, and experience worth a go.
